We have a busy butchers shop situated on the Suffolk – Essex border in Stratford St Mary, we are a diversified farm with a farm shop, restaurant and butchers counter.

The successful candidate must be competent in breaking down pork, beef and lamb, proficient at making sausages as well as maintaining strict hygiene standards and providing excellent customer service.

We are searching for a passionate and innovative individual who is confident in both dealing with staff and any issues that may arise in the day to day running of a butchers shop as well as having a good customer service experience.

We are open 7 days a week, meaning availability on the weekends is essential although you will not have to work every Sunday. A standard working day consists of a 7.30am start, working through until 5.00 pm with a 30-minute break.

The position is for a permanent contract, with a fixed salary and overtime paid, you will receive 28 days paid holiday and a staff discount when shopping or eating on site.

Kitchen porter

Kitchen porter required for a busy restaurant in a beautiful setting in between Ipswich and Colchester.

responsibilities include operating the dishwasher, maintaining hygiene standards by carrying out cleaning schedule,s and helping chefs with food preparation.

Hourly pay, the standard working day is 8am til 5pm.

Hall Farm Cafe Restaurant is a very busy restaurant situated on the a12 between Ipswich and Colchester and we are looking for a passionate and hard-working chef to join our ambitious team! the successful candidate must show a willingness to learn and be prepared to work in a very busy kitchen.

with two working kitchens, you will most likely work on a number of sections with potential for career development to any of our staff who excel in their role. We have a Farm Shop on site as well which the pastry kitchen supplies a number of homemade goods from cakes to sausage rolls. the main kitchen being for the restaurant serving a range of top-quality – homemade dishes. we also do a number of private events throughout the year making Hall Farm a very good place to gather a range of invaluable experiences in the hospitality industry.

Salary is competitive but may vary depending on age. 28 days paid holiday with a standard working day being 7;30 am to 5;00 pm (No evenings besides private events.)
